Copenhagen to Azamara Pursuit
We've had a wonderful 3 days in Copenhagen, and now off to new adventures.
And we've enjoyed staying at the Hotel Hebron. It's a 3 star hotel with friendly staff in a great location close to the train station, the HOHO bus stop, many of the attractions, and lots of restaurants. The breakfast buffet is great, with some of the best yogurt ever. And they have a nice courtyard area that is perfect for relaxing, and that most of the rooms look out on.
It had rained over night, and was cloudy this morning and a bit misty. By the time breakfast was over it was starting to clear. Karen and I had a lovely walk along several lakes after check-out. The sun came out and it was much warmer. As it was Sunday, the paths along the lakes were busy with people jogging or walking. In one area food carts had been set up. We walked as far as Rosenborg Castle and had a look at the beautiful grounds with rose garden and moat. About 1 1/2 hour walk over all.
Back at the hotel we relaxed in the courtyard until time to take the taxi to the cruise port at 2pm. Set rate of 600DKR or about 60.00CAD. The pier we were at is further out than the one most ships go to if they are doing Copenhagen as a port of call. Check-in was very fast, and we could access our cabin immediately. It was beautiful weather for our sail-away, and we sat out by the pool, listened to the band and watched the activity in the harbour. Lots of wind farms in the outer harbour area.
All 6 of us went to the main dining room Discoveries for dinner. Jessie and Dorian recognised many of the crew from past voyages, and were greeted warmly. We had a lovely, long relaxed dinner with great conversation. I attended the last of the show in the lounge before heading up for bed. A great start to our cruise.
